dotsweep is a domain checker your AI can use

Most domain tools assume a human at a keyboard. A growing share of naming work now happens inside an AI assistant, so dotsweep treats the assistant as a first-class user.

The pieces: a free public API with no key (GET dotsweep.com/check/{domain}), an MCP server any MCP-capable assistant can connect to, an llms.txt, and a ready-made skill file. An agent gets the same engine as the website: availability resolved against the registries over RDAP with a WHOIS fallback, registration and renewal prices, and eligibility rules per extension.

The house rule survives the trip: a throttled or unreachable registry is reported as unconfirmed, never as available. An AI that confidently tells its user a taken name is free would just be automating the most expensive mistake in naming.
